Inner wheel club of

DURBANVILLE

Our Story

The Inner Wheel Club of Durbanville was inaugurated with a Charter Dinner in September 1986 at the Kloof Restaurant where everyone enjoyed a lavish dinner for R15 each!

More than 35 years down the line we are still going strong. Some of the activities from those days are still currently done, such as visits to the Green Pastures Retirement Home. The Inner Wheel Club of Durbanville has +/-10 active members and we welcome any new comers.

In line with Inner Wheel’s object to encourage the ideals of personal service, each of our members keeps their ear to the ground, networking with friends and acquaintances to be of service in our Durbanville area.

To support our acts of kindness in form of donations and assistance we raise money with boot and book sales. All preloved items are welcomed with open arms and are used to generate income to finance our projects.

We are also supported by Knitters, which allows us to gift children with jerseys, beanies and other clothing items to stay warm.
At the end of our financial year all funds not used are split and given to additional worthy charities. We are happy to report that we donated to The Gift of the Givers Foundation, the Cape Peninsula Fire Protection Association as well as to the Natal Flood Victims.
