Inner wheel club of
Eswatini
Our Story
The inner wheel club of Eswatini was established in 2021 with inspiration from a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Kandi, Ms Radha Venkataraman, the previous Indian High Commissioner to Eswatini. The club has about 20 members and members join on a friend-bring-friend basis, so we all know each other and enjoy the company.
We structure our meeting with some logistics and fun or learning parts. At each meeting, one of us conducts an activity that brings us joy, thoughts, or more profound insight into ourselves.
What We Do
Newborn Birthing Bags
We work toward an annual birthing bag campaign before Christmas. We collect items and buy supplies for new mothers and babies in rural hospitals.
Collection of Reading Material
We collect books and magazines for distribution to hospital patients.
Ad Hoc Family Projects
We assist families with triplets and old gogos (grandmothers) with food, clothing and other requirements.
Access to sanitary products
We want to ensure girls have the experiences and opportunities to thrive and support local ongoing campaigns for access to sanitary pads.
Our Mission & Approach
Fundraising
Fundraising is generally done through projects and raffles and we would like to thank Emlembe beverages and Emlembe Honey for their great, ongoing support. We are currently fundraising for Birthing bags and Sanitary pads,
