Ready, Set, Bloom
Saturday August 26th 2023, saw the return of the Inner Wheel Club of Saldanha annual fundraiser, our “Spring Lunch”.
90 Fellow Inner Wheelers, friends, family and supporters travelled from near and far to join us for a memorable lunch at the West Coast Fossil Park. It is always so special to see so many familiar friendly faces and to welcome so many new faces. Everyone had come together as friends of the Inner Wheel club of Saldanha.
We could not have asked for better weather, the spring flower displays did not disappoint and the food was beautifully presented and delicious too
The event would not have been possible without the support from;
- Eagles Pride and Angela Langton (daughter of IW Saldanha member, Pat Woodend); who kindly donated the magnificent flowers on the tables. Not only does she grow/farm them, but she arranged and delivered them too!
- The raffle prize donors: Stella de Klerk; a beautiful crochet blanket, Darling Cellars; a 3 lt bottle of red wine and Christina Skinner of Christina’s Cakes; a chocolate
- Pick n Pay IPIC Centre Vredenburg, Tops Spar Laaiplek and Darling Cellars for the generous sponsorships towards the wines and sherry
- Thanks also go to the West Coast Fossil Park for hosting us.
- Chef Heinrich Mouton and the students of the West Coast Chef School – thank you for your guidance in putting this event together and we look forward to the delectable meal you have lovingly prepared for us.
Once again, we would like express our sincere gratitude to each and every one who supported our event. The financial success of this event will go a long way in making the lives of those less fortunate in our communities a little brighter.
